His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Hugh is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He sports a long brown beard, and similarly colored long hair. He has a dull look in his green eyes.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this eastern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born in the east to a Server, Miles learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Miles fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and sabotage a competitor

History: He was born into a rich family. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Description: He is a husky man, who wears suspenders and tan workpants. His shirt is blue, and he wears a heavy tan leather apron most of the time. He has done his best to style his red hair to look like a famous performer. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. Adelard is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Adelard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.
