His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Lance was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sellsword they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Bounty Hunter, and he later adopted a second son.

He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
