History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by giants. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he is dressed in earthy colors with a black and blue handkerchief worn on his left side. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

History: He was born in the south. Bernard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well.
