History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He tends to his Carpenter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.
