History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Charles grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Navigator. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He was born in the west. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Map Maker for the past few years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Map Maker responsibilities is difficult; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs
