Personality: Roland is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Roland was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Carter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many goblins want him driven away

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. Gomory is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His first spouse was a Servant, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gilbert was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to prove his worth to the world
