Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Anselm's homeland. Anselm decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Painter born in the past three hundred years. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He got into the Painter business at a young age. His childhood dream was to be a Brewer, but he was a colossal failure. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge, and his gloved hand is found clutching a sickle. He keeps his auburn hair in a pixie cut. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are amber.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Gardener and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
