History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he wants revenge against dire rats

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A gifted student he started as a Courier, but he got bored and became a Miller. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Miller for the past few years.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end.
