History: Nicholas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. Adelard enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born in the south. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing poetry.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 8 years.
