History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He got into the Layabout business at a young age. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Arnold has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
