History: Born to a pair of adventurers, William grew up listening to his mother's many stories. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving William alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
