His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in axe use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He tends to his Ploughman job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: To be a Shipwright again; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Born in the south to a Soapmaker, William learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has worked as a Soapmaker like his father before him.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a sweet of some kind. He prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman, marred by sweets. His white hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His fierce blue eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. Bertram enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
