Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gerard embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gerard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Gerard was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. After a long history of fighting, Gerard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes orcs are coming to abduct people. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Trym was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Guy was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Thomas's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Butcher but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Thomas was born with his mother's beautiful face. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He became a Butcher soon after.
