History: He was born in the west. A freak accident while working with his Soapmaker father left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Born in the east to a Architect, Adelard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and balancing his hectic life and new architect responsibilities is difficult

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and he is greedy
