History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Bertram's homeland. Bertram decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Randal hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Randal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Charles lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
