Description: A plain young-adult man, he wears a tan costume with the symbols of magic on his torso. His black hair is smooth and relatively long. His green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Spice Merchant but believes his peers are too gung-ho.
History: He was born into a rich family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and money/treasure

Description: He is lean but muscular and wears suspenders and brown workpants. His shirt is black, and he wears a heavy brown leather apron most of the time. His red hair is greasy and uncared for. He has green eyes and a brown hat with a black feather.
Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. The war was a terrible time for him, and Thomas does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature monstrous two handed axe.
Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright blue and yellow, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His white hair has been sun bleached extensively. He has hazel eyes and a blue hat with a yellow feather.
Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.
History: Diggory was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he has a crush on the local engraver

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.
History: He was born into a rich family. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and a deep hatred of illithids
