History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He got into the Gardener business at a young age. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Gardener and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: He wants revenge against brigands; and many brigands want him driven away

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Interpreter born in the past three hundred years. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Nicholas abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and regain custody of his daughter

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality
