When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Gunter took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up mace and armor he uses now. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. Thomas was born on a far eastern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Navigator. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Sage. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Fortune-teller; and balancing his hectic life and new sage responsibilities is difficult

Description: This fat southern man has a bulbous nose and is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His silver hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. His green eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Raymond was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to protect his home

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Arnold was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
