Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Heward embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Heward was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Gardener. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Randal lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student he started as a Engraver, but he got bored and became a Layabout. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
