His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He takes great joy in being the best Carter in town.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Carter. He bought a greatsword and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. A true patriot, Patrick would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

History: Ralf was born with his mother's beautiful face. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Frederick hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Frederick was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
