History: Born to a pair of adventurers, John grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
