History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Arnold hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Arnold was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and regain custody of his daughter

Personality: Manfred hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. He is a great chef.

History: Gifted from a young age, Manfred studied abroad. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: The child of a Unemployed, who enjoyed hunting, Cory was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
