History: Born to a Blacksmith, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Thomas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Knight hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Born in the west to a Dyer, Kyle learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 6 years.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and to be a sailor again

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Charles abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and wants his loneliness to end
