At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. After a long history of fighting, Richard and his spouse have recently divorced.
