Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bertram embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. History: Born in the east to a Barrister, Peter learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Barrister. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and wants to open a new tavern
