History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Through the years after Richard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Richard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gifted student he started as a Bookbinder, but he got bored and became a Stylist. He struck the Stylist job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: Shane is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Shane hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
