History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Guard and was forced into it by his family; and to reunite with his absent mother

History: Born in the west to a Architect, Gerard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He struck the Architect job and began his own company from there.
