History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Gilbert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was born in a small mountains village. A freak accident while working with his Doctor father left him crippled. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Description: His left side is far more bruised and cut up than his other. He usually wears his blue robe and has his rapier always slung over his shoulder. His black hair is matted, messy, and big. His blue eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. Patrick enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born into a rich family. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and a deep hatred of illithids
