Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Dean was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Map Maker. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
