History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He married young, but lost his spouse to illithids. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and retire the richest man in the east

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. After a long history of fighting, Robert and his spouse have recently divorced.

He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Assassin. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
