History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Baker. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He is a Brewer first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Brewer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Recently the stress of being a Brewer has made it difficult for him to sleep.
