Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. The war was a terrible time for him, and Adelard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Adelard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He became a Scribe soon after.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was born into a rich family. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and money/treasure

Description: This fat northern man has a bulbous nose and wears blue leather gloves, a blue jacket, and tight pants. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His blonde hair is greasy and uncared for. His eyes are gray and beady.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants revenge against illithids

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When Geoffrey reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he's looking for his big break
