History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His childhood dream was to be a Marshal, but he was a colossal failure. He has achieved small success as a Navigator.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

History: Roland was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He became a Bather soon after.
