History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. During his travels, Alex and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Alex discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Alex fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
