History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Bertram and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
