History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Gerald's homeland. Gerald decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now owns his own business.
