History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Dilettante for the past few years.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. The war was a terrible time for him, and Miles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the west to a Farmer, Miles learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Farmer. He's also a talented Healer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Raymond was born the youngest of three triplets. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the north. A freak accident while working with his Painter father left him crippled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Painter they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Armorer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and to reunite with his absent father
