Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: He is a Miller first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miller.

Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and dresses like a well dressed Painter does. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His auburn hair is thinning but still full. This blue eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Painter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A gifted student he started as a Courier, but he got bored and became a Painter. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sailor. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Revenge; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
