History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Jocelyn hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Jocelyn was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Miller. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Jocelyn was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Description: This younger middle-aged man wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his warhammer with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt, and a wedding ring on his right hand. His hair is auburn and very short. He has several tiny topaz earrings on each ear.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Shane will drive conversation. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Shane lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
