Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.
History: Born to a Mayor, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Roland was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Roland's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He is obsessed with his god.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Frederick was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Frederick's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: 5'10" and muscular, this southern man wears a brown coat over a grey low-cut shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat upon his head. He has black hair. He is baby faced.
Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.
History: Kyle lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and wants to work out more often

History: Guy hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His parents enrolled him in a Warrior school at a young age so that he could practice his druidic talents. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.
