History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Nicholas abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and balancing his hectic life and new spy responsibilities is difficult

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
