He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. During his travels, Patrick and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Patrick discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Patrick fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.
