History: Born in the west to a Sage, Randal learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Sage work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sage work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. After a long history of fighting, Randal and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Jocelyn was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Jocelyn's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
