History: Born in the north to a Bather, Bernard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He found a children's book about a Human Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Locksmith. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 2 years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Locksmith responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He worked as a nervous Painter and found it very stressful. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Further expansion of business.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Conrad lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and to unite with his sister

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he seems to be bored by most things
