History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roland fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Kyle alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now mingles about in high society.
