History: Born to a Bookbinder, his father struggled to pay the bills. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Bookbinder. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Lewis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He got into the Carter business at a young age. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He struck the Carter job and began his own company from there.
