History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His red hair is singed and shortened. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines green.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Shane's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Shane was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with dancing. He constantly tries to fill his life with dancing. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Hugh was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He takes great joy in being the best Map Maker in town.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Map Maker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Map Maker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Gifted from a young age, Chad studied abroad. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Chad and his spouse have recently divorced.
