A freak accident while working with his Spice Merchant mother left him crippled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

He worked as a Healer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and doesn't want to be a healer and was forced into it by his family
