When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Born in the south to a Baker, Charles learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He's also a talented Herbalist, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He tends to his Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
