History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. Shane enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Shane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mayor for the past few years.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and money/treasure

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
